How does Hypnotherapy work?

Initial Consultation will provide you with a safe space to share your needs clearly and discuss your goals for therapy. The therapist will put together a comprehensive treatment plan specifically to your goals.

Induction: The therapist guides you into a relaxed, focused state through language and relaxation techniques. This helps to reduce the awareness of the conscious mind and allows the subconscious to become more receptive.

Suggestion: When you have reached a relaxed state, the therapist will offer suggestions that aim to help with specific issues. The suggestions work by altering thought patterns or behaviours at the subconscious level.

Therapeutic Work: During the relaxed state ‘trance-like state’, the therapist will help to reframe negative beliefs or past traumatic experience's, with visualisation, guided imagery or other reframing techniques, making it easier to cope or resolve issues.

Awakening: At the end of the session, the therapist gradually brings you back to full awareness. All sights and sounds return back to their normal state and your conscious mind is fully aware.
