About Me

I'm Abbie, I am a certified Hypnotherapy Practitioner, Mum, and someone who came to this work through my own experience of needing support.

I didn’t grow up knowing I wanted to become a hypnotherapist.

My route here was much more personal than that.

I found hypnotherapy during a time in my own life when I needed something to change, and the experience stayed with me in a way I hadn’t expected.

It wasn’t just that I felt different.

It changed the way I thought about what was possible when you stop trying to think your way out of everything and begin working with yourself in a different way.

That experience made me curious about hypnotherapy.

Then genuinely passionate about it.

And eventually, it led me here - helping other women who might look like they’re coping perfectly well from the outside, but know that something inside doesn’t feel quite right.

I know what it’s like to reach a point where you don’t necessarily need your whole life to change.

You just want to feel more like yourself in it.

That’s a big part of why this work means so much to me.

I care about the life underneath the anxiety.

Of course I care about helping you feel less anxious.

But what really matters is what that allows you to do.

Speak up.

Go somewhere.

Change something.

Rest.

Enjoy your children.

Apply for the role.

Set the boundary.

Stop shrinking yourself.

Make the decision.

Wear the thing.

Say what you actually think.

Take up a little more room in your own life.

Because ultimately, I don't want women to spend their lives just surviving the lives they've worked so hard to build.

I want them to actually be in them.

My Way of Working

I want working with me to feel comfortable, personal and easy to settle into.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say, and you don’t need to understand all the right therapeutic language.

We can start with what’s happening for you, how it’s affecting your life and what you’d like to feel different.

My approach is relaxed, but the work itself matters deeply to me.

I care about being honest about what hypnotherapy can and cannot promise. I care about adapting sessions to the person in front of me rather than following the same script with everyone.

And I care about creating a space where you can feel understood, supported and comfortable enough to be yourself — while we work towards helping you feel more like yourself again.

Outside the therapy room...

I'm a mum of two.

I'm creative.

A little chaotic.

I’ll start one hobby and somehow end up interested in three others.

I love being social and also love retreating from everybody.

I’m equally happy having simple weekends away at the caravan and getting properly dressed up for somewhere lovely.

And, like most people, I’m still becoming more of myself too.

Maybe that's why the idea of helping women come back to themselves means so much to me.

I don't think we ever completely “arrive.”

But I do think life becomes very different when fear, anxiety and other people's expectations stop making so many of the decisions.

If you think we might work well together...

You don’t need to send me your whole life story in one go.

Start with a few questions.

Tell me what's been happening.

And if my approach looks like it could be right for you, we can talk properly from there.
